A dressing room is a boutique for one client. We design walk-in closets in which every coat, every shoe and every watch has its own illuminated place, and in which dressing becomes a ritual.
We begin with an inventory: how much hanging, how much folded, which shoes, bags, jewellery. From that follows a floor plan with an island in the middle, cabinets up to the ceiling and a mirror wall that doubles the room. Daylight is welcome, provided it is UV-filtered; artificial light is indispensable: LED strips in every cabinet, even light at the mirror and mood light for the evening.
The cabinets are solid: oak, walnut or lacquered wood, with leather inlays in the drawers, glass display cases for watches and bags and brass rails. A bench or armchair, a rug and an artwork make the dressing room a room instead of a cupboard.

The Hague
Renovating a dressing room in The Hague
In The Hague we mainly work in townhouses, villas, 1930s houses and listed buildings, in neighbourhoods such as Statenkwartier, Benoordenhout, Archipelbuurt, Zeeheldenkwartier and Belgisch Park. Each typology places its own demands on a dressing room: height, daylight, pipework, structure and sometimes heritage rules. Our architects know the local frameworks and design within them without compromising the end result.
The atelier is located in The Hague, home base from The Hague. A project director is on site daily, and after handover that same person remains your permanent contact for maintenance, warranty and new wishes.

01
Listed buildings and protected townscapes
Many properties fall under heritage protection or a protected townscape. Our architects take care of the permit, consultation with heritage committees and the restoration of historic detailing, combined with modern installations.
02
Living by the sea
Salt, wind and sand place demands on materials and detailing. We choose finishes that stay beautiful on the coast and design outdoor spaces that embrace the maritime climate.
03
International clients
Many clients here are international families who want to renovate immediately upon purchase. Our fixed completion date aligns with the key handover and the school year; we communicate in several languages.
04
Commercial property
For offices, showrooms and practices we build in phases and outside office hours where necessary, and coordinate with landlord, owners' association and fire safety.
Hotel inspiration
Flagship boutiques show little and illuminate everything. We apply that same direction to your wardrobe.

Frequently asked questions
Luxury dressing room renovation in The Hague
Allow an indicative € 25,000 to € 80,000 for a bespoke dressing room, depending on size and material. The exact price follows from the design and the bill of materials; you receive a fixed contract sum before the start.
Yes. Aftercare is part of every commission in The Hague: a visit after 14 days, checks after 3, 6 and 12 months and an annual inspection with maintenance plan thereafter.
From about 8 m² a real dressing room with island emerges; from 12 m² there is room for seating and a mirror wall. We also design compact variants.
Oak, walnut and cedar (against moths) are ideal. We use water-based lacquers and odourless finishes.
