A dressing room is a boutique for one client. We design walk-in closets in which every coat, every shoe and every watch has its own illuminated place, and in which dressing becomes a ritual.

We begin with an inventory: how much hanging, how much folded, which shoes, bags, jewellery. From that follows a floor plan with an island in the middle, cabinets up to the ceiling and a mirror wall that doubles the room. Daylight is welcome, provided it is UV-filtered; artificial light is indispensable: LED strips in every cabinet, even light at the mirror and mood light for the evening.

The cabinets are solid: oak, walnut or lacquered wood, with leather inlays in the drawers, glass display cases for watches and bags and brass rails. A bench or armchair, a rug and an artwork make the dressing room a room instead of a cupboard.

Renovating a dressing room in Amstelveen

In Amstelveen we mainly work in 1930s houses, villas, modern new-build villas and luxury apartments, in neighbourhoods such as Elsrijk, Randwijck, Oude Dorp, Patrimonium and Westwijk. Each typology places its own demands on a dressing room: height, daylight, pipework, structure and sometimes heritage rules. Our architects know the local frameworks and design within them without compromising the end result.

The atelier is located in The Hague, 45 min from Amstelveen. A project director is on site daily, and after handover that same person remains your permanent contact for maintenance, warranty and new wishes.

01

International clients

Many clients here are international families who want to renovate immediately upon purchase. Our fixed completion date aligns with the key handover and the school year; we communicate in several languages.

02

Villa districts and aesthetics committees

In villa districts strict aesthetic frameworks apply to extensions, outbuildings and materials. We guide the entire permit process and design in harmony with the landscape.

Hotel inspiration

Flagship boutiques show little and illuminate everything. We apply that same direction to your wardrobe.

Materials

  • Solid oak and walnut
  • Lacquered wood in soft tones

Frequently asked questions

Luxury dressing room renovation in Amstelveen

Allow an indicative € 25,000 to € 80,000 for a bespoke dressing room, depending on size and material. The exact price follows from the design and the bill of materials; you receive a fixed contract sum before the start.

Yes. Aftercare is part of every commission in Amstelveen: a visit after 14 days, checks after 3, 6 and 12 months and an annual inspection with maintenance plan thereafter.

From about 8 m² a real dressing room with island emerges; from 12 m² there is room for seating and a mirror wall. We also design compact variants.

Oak, walnut and cedar (against moths) are ideal. We use water-based lacquers and odourless finishes.

Enfilade Care

We hand over. And then we stay.

Aftercare visit after 14 days

Two weeks after handover we walk through the property together. Anything that stands out, we resolve immediately.

Checks after 3, 6 and 12 months

Tuning of climate and lighting, settling of materials, operation of bespoke work: we check and correct.

Annual inspection and maintenance plan

Every year an inspection of stone, wood, installations and art, with a tailored maintenance calendar.
