01 · The atelier

We are not a contractor. We are an atelier.

A contractor builds what someone else has drawn. We design, build and enrich in a single movement: architects and interior architects on staff, craftsmen who work only for us and artists who contribute from the very first sketch.

That means one contract, one point of contact and one responsibility, from the first sketch to long after the keys are handed over. And a completion date after 60 working days that we do not promise, but put in writing.

05 · Process

60 days. Five phases. One promise.

Everything that delays traditional renovations, we do before the start. That is why we can put a fixed completion date in the contract. And afterwards, we stay.
  1. 01 · Before the start · 2–4 weeks

    Vision & design

Our architects and interior architects translate your wishes into one coherent design: floor plans, lighting plan, bill of materials and bespoke work. An artist joins from the first sketch.

  2. 02 · Before the start · 2–6 weeks

    Engineering & procurement

Structure, installations and permits are fully worked out and all materials ordered before construction begins. Stone is cut, kitchens are in production, lighting is in our warehouse.

  3. 03 · Day 1 – 55

    Realisation

Our own construction team works exclusively on your project, according to a daily schedule reported to you weekly with photos and progress. One project director is your point of contact.

  4. 04 · Day 56 – 60

    Art, styling & handover

In the final week we place the art, style the rooms and hand over turnkey, including a digital file with drawings, warranties and maintenance advice.

  5. 05 · After handover · forever

    Aftercare: we stay

Aftercare visit after 14 days, checks after 3, 6 and 12 months and an annual inspection with maintenance plan thereafter. Your project director remains your permanent contact, with a 24/7 service line.

06 · Art

06 · Art

To us, art is building material, not decoration.

In most renovations art comes last. With us the artist sits at the table for the first sketch and thinks along about walls, stairs, light and material. A fresco can carry a stairwell, a ceramic relief a bathroom, a light object an entrance.

From our network of painters, sculptors, ceramicists and light artists we select makers who suit your property and your taste. The result is a home or venue that cannot be bought anywhere else.

07 · Aftercare

We hand over. And then we stay.

With most builders the relationship ends when the keys are handed over. With us a new phase begins: an aftercare visit after two weeks, checks after three, six and twelve months and, after that, an annual inspection with a maintenance plan.

Your project director remains your permanent contact. For a dripping tap, a new artwork, an extra floor or simply a question. One phone number, forever.

Day 0

Handover and property file

Handover of the keys with a digital file: drawings, warranties, suppliers, maintenance calendar and art certificates.

Day 14

Aftercare visit

Walk-through with your project director. Minor corrections are carried out immediately.

Month 3

Tuning

Climate, lighting scenes and home automation are tuned to your actual use.

Month 6

Material check

Check of natural stone, woodwork, sealant joints and finishes after the first heating season.

Month 12

Annual inspection

Full inspection, warranty review and a maintenance plan for the coming years.

Yearly

Forever

Every year another inspection, seasonal maintenance on request and priority for new wishes.

08 · Where we work

Rooted in The Hague. Active throughout the Netherlands.

The atelier is located on the Anna Paulownastraat. Our construction teams work daily in the Randstad, Het Gooi, Kennemerland and Brabant, and on request anywhere in the Netherlands.

09 · Frequently asked questions

What you want to know before we begin.

We focus on complete renovations from € 100,000, excluding VAT; the average project lies between € 150,000 and € 750,000. Smaller commissions, such as a single bathroom, kitchen or wellness area, are welcome from € 20,000 when they fit our way of working with our own architects, artists and craftsmen.

By completing design, engineering and procurement entirely before the first demolition hammer. All craftsmen are employed or permanently attached to us, materials are ordered and the construction team works to a daily schedule. You receive a fixed completion date in the contract.

We stay. An aftercare visit after 14 days, checks after 3, 6 and 12 months and an annual inspection with maintenance plan thereafter. Your project director remains your permanent contact and there is a 24/7 service line.

Yes. Our atelier is in The Hague and we are most active in the Randstad, Het Gooi, Kennemerland and Brabant, but we realise projects throughout the Netherlands. For projects outside the Randstad we plan the construction crew on site.

Yes. Our architects and interior architects are employed by the atelier. That means we not only design, we are also responsible for execution down to the last screw. One contract, one point of contact.

From the first sketch we involve an artist from our network who suits your property and taste. Think of wall art, sculptural stairs, frescoes, ceramics or light art. With us art is not a finishing decoration but part of the architecture.

Our architects take care of the environmental permit, the structural calculations and the consultation with the aesthetics or heritage committee. The 60 days start on the day the permit is irrevocable and the preparation is complete.
