How we translate Japandi to your kitchen

The strength of a kitchen in Japandi style lies in coherence: warm white, sand, wood as the base, oak and cedar, lime paint, linen and paper as the material palette and low furniture and emptiness, sliding panels as the recognisable signature. We design that coherence from the first sketch and guard it to the last screw.

The style lives on material and proportion: oak or cedar, lime paint, tatami-like textures, low furniture and plenty of emptiness. Light is soft and indirect; colours are those of wood, stone and paper.

We apply Japandi with craftsmanship: visible wood joints, shoji-like sliding panels, an onsen bathroom in cedar and stone. Art is understated: ceramics, a single canvas, an object by an artist.

Because design, execution and art are under one roof with us, the style stays pure: no compromises between architect, contractor and supplier, but one team that knows how Japandi works in a Dutch property.

What makes a kitchen hotel standard

01

Island as sculpture

A block in natural stone or wood, with hidden technology and seating on the social side.

02

Scullery and pantry

The workspace behind the scenes: stock, dishwasher, cooling and coffee station out of sight.

03

Appliances on performance

Professional induction, steam, wine climate and silent extraction, integrated in the bespoke work.

04

Light in layers

Task light, mood light and a light object above the island.
