A home cinema is technology wrapped in comfort. We design home cinemas and games rooms in which picture and sound are of reference level, and in which you see the technology nowhere.
Acoustics are half the experience. We build a room-in-room with decoupled walls and floors, absorption and diffusion in the right places and a door that keeps the house quiet. Then comes the technology: a projector with an acoustically transparent screen or an LED wall, speakers behind fabric, subwoofers in the floor and an amplifier in a ventilated cabinet outside the room.
Comfort is the other half: cinema seats or a deep sofa in leather and velvet, a bar with fridge and espresso machine, lighting scenes from reception to film and a temperature that stays pleasant all evening. For gamers we design a zone with racing simulator, consoles and fast cabling.

Renovating a home cinema in Rotterdam
In Rotterdam we mainly work in urban villas, villas, penthouses and lofts, in neighbourhoods such as Kralingen-Oost, Hillegersberg, Scheepvaartkwartier, Blijdorp and Kop van Zuid. Each typology places its own demands on a home cinema: height, daylight, pipework, structure and sometimes heritage rules. Our architects know the local frameworks and design within them without compromising the end result.
The atelier is located in The Hague, 30 min from Rotterdam. A project director is on site daily, and after handover that same person remains your permanent contact for maintenance, warranty and new wishes.

01
High-rise and owners' associations
Penthouses and apartments require coordination with the owners' association, building management and lift logistics, and careful sound insulation for floors and installations. We arrange it all.
02
Living on the water
Jetties, terraces and sightlines to the water are designed as part of the whole, with materials that withstand moisture.
03
Design and architectural tradition
In a city with a strong design tradition, clients expect architecture that participates. We design with respect for the context and with our own recognisable signature.
04
Commercial property
For offices, showrooms and practices we build in phases and outside office hours where necessary, and coordinate with landlord, owners' association and fire safety.
Hotel inspiration
Private cinemas in luxury hotels combine velvet, subdued light and perfect acoustics. We build that experience in your cellar or attic.

Frequently asked questions
Luxury home cinema renovation in Rotterdam
Allow an indicative € 70,000 to € 250,000 for a home cinema with acoustics, projection and furniture. The exact price follows from the design and the bill of materials; you receive a fixed contract sum before the start.
Yes. Aftercare is part of every commission in Rotterdam: a visit after 14 days, checks after 3, 6 and 12 months and an annual inspection with maintenance plan thereafter.
Yes, cellars are ideal. We take care of moisture control, ventilation, acoustic decoupling and the installation of all technology.
Projection gives the cinema feeling and works with speakers behind the screen; an LED wall is brighter and suits rooms with daylight. We advise based on room and use.
